CINECITTÁ LUCE S.P.A.

Established in May 2009 following the merger of Cinecittà Holding and Istituto Luce, CINECITTÀ LUCE is the public service branch of the Ministry of Italian Culture with the aim of promoting Italian cinema. With a 35mm Film Library of approximately 3,000 movies subtitled in various languages, and possessing the ARCHIVIO LUCE, CINECITTÀ LUCE’s motion-picture, documentary and photographic library is one of the richest in Europe working with major international cultural institutions worldwide. The organization promotes classic and contemporary Italian cinema, provides support in the selection of Italian films and the participation of Italian talent at major film festivals, and also facilitates the participation of Italian films in key international film markets; it directly distributes Italian and European movies throughout Italy. CINECITTÀ LUCE is the publisher of Cinecittà News, the online daily that offers constant updates on all aspects of Italian cinema, and publishes film industry related books in several languages.
